Custom Glassware
A core part of our work is the construction of common (and not so common) laboratory glassware to your own or regulatory specifications. All materials generally available in house from our regular suppliers so you can ensure a quick and affordable solution to your requirements.
Prototyping
Prototyping for one-off projects or through to production has been a strength of Technical Glass Products since its inception. Come to us with a drawing, a thought or even an idea (laboratory, technical or architectural….) and we’ll work with you to make the dream a reality.
Production Glass
We run production jobs of our own products and for OEM customers. Besides bench and lathe glassblowing, our capabilities include centrifuging, profile forming, thread rolling, vacuum forming and glass to metal. In addition, our connections within Schott Group provide us with knowledge of, and access to, a wide range of materials and techniques available in our field internationally.
About Technical Glass Products Limited
Accuracy, Consistency, and Technical Knowledge
Technical Glass Products originated in 1987 as the manufacturing division of a New Zealand laboratory company. This division was purchased in 1991 and expanded to become a specialist scientific and technical glassware company, importing, stocking, and manufacturing scientific and technical glassware and materials. In 2019, TGP was sold by its founders, John and Hilary Penno, and in 2022 it was sold to its current owners, who brought the Pennos back onboard as consultants.
Technical Glass Products has had a long association with the prestigious German Schott and DWK groups, representing the broader Schott group in New Zealand. Importing and stocking the DURAN range of labware, TGP is New Zealand’s largest importer and stockist of glass tubing and glassblowing components. In addition to TGP’s requirements for these as materials for our own manufacturing operation, we also supply New Zealand’s University and custom scientific glassblowers as well as artistic glassblowers (lampworkers).
In addition to manufacturing our own TGP brand of glassware, we manufacture OEM branded glassware and supply technical solutions and prototype/custom products to a wide range of industries.
